Monday, October 11th, 2010

On Monday, October 4, 2010 Sun Devil Auto a leader in the automotive aftermarket industry “accelerated” to social media with a new Facebook page. To preview the official Sun Devil Auto Facebook page, friends are invited to join on Facebook by searching Sun Devil Auto.

Metropolitan Phoenix ~ Sun Devil Auto is an Arizona-grown, family-owned and operated auto-repair company offering complete repair in the automotive aftermarket industry.  Established in 1978, the company has successfully established an Arizona presence with 21 locations and recently has expanded into the NV and TX markets with 4 and 3 additional stores respectively.

The company’s advertising methods have been conventional over the years. They attribute their success to branding and staying in the public’s eye through print, direct mail and a strong online presence. This week, their marketing and advertising efforts have taken on a new form via Facebook and when marketing director Jackie Carro was asked about this new direction in social media, she replied, “Our advertising has evolved as our business has in three plus decades. We’re enhancing our brand which effectively captures the essence of our parent company, Sun Devil Auto of the late 70’s, (home-grown, family-owned, community, grassroots marketing) while also reflecting a more modern-day, sophisticated level of auto repair services that we offer: state-of-the art diagnostics, alternative to the dealership, “green” approach to recycling liquids, oil, etc.” The company will continue to engage in community events and social media as well as their more conventional form of advertising.

SUN DEVIL AUTO RALLIES TEAM FOR TOYS FOR TOTS!

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

Toys for TotsTempe, Arizona ~ On Saturday December 13 local automotive repair & preventative maintenance company Sun Devil Auto will deliver fifteen bicycles and more than three dozen toys for needy valley children to the Arizona US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.

Over the past few weeks Deb Hughes, Sun Devil Auto Toys for Tots Team Leader, has been rallying employees and vendors to donate money, gifts & toys for the US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.  When asked why she got involved with Toys for Tots, Ms. Hughes replied, “Because this is what Christmas is all about.  Every child should wake up on Christmas morning to the surprise that Santa did visit and he brought them something special ~ just for them!”

Throughout the year families ~ churches make a list.  They ask for certain things that their children need (and want).  The US Marine Corps Reserve collects all kinds of toys and delivers them to these churches before the Christmas holiday.    Sun Devil Auto was proud to be part of this effort and has been and will continue to be a supporter of various children’s charities throughout the year.

Over the 58 years of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, Marines have distributed more than 332.5 million toys to 158.7 million needy children. This charitable endeavor has made U.S. Marines the unchallenged leaders in looking after needy children at Christmas. Over its 14 year life span, the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation has supplemented local toy collections with more than 55.5 million toys valued at more than $284 million; plus has provided promotion and support materials valued at over $3.2 million.
