History & Facts:
East Valley ~ Friday 4/30 Sun Devil Auto will present the 25th Annual Fiesta Invitational Golf Tournament at the Oakwood Golf Club. A number of invaluable corporate, media and individual sponsors & participants will join Sun Devil Auto in raising funds to benefit the Child Crisis Center of the East Valley.
About the Center:
Since 1981, The Child Crisis Center has been committed to the prevention of child abuse and neglect. Founded by the Mahnah Club of Mesa, a local service group, the Center opened with 7 shelter beds and an annual budget of $60,000. In the past 24 years they have helped to shelter 11,000 children from all over Maricopa County. With 40 beds and a 4 million dollar annual budget, the programs and services provided in the areas of Emergency Shelter, counseling and prevention have grown in response to the needs of the community.
Grassroots community involvement has always been the cornerstone of the success of the Center. Still today, the Child Crisis Center relies on the generosity of individuals and local corporations to provide the funds necessary to operate. They are grateful for the continued support of the community as they continue to help Arizona’s families prevent child abuse and neglect.
